I finished high school with a vision of nurturing, loving and protecting as many little people as I could. I trained in childcare, and each time I finished a course, I extended myself to the next level, completing my Bachelor in Early Childhood while raising my own little people. I used to tell my husband I was trained until our children were 8 years old, then we would have to ‘wing it’ from there.
Our little girl was born absolutely perfect. When she grew out of the basic food groups she began to fade. She would sit for hours on the couch and drink a lot of water. I spoke with the doctors and they were happy that she was a healthy little girl and reminded me that I should be very grateful that she drank so much water and caused me little fuss!
At 3 years old her water intake increased to 3+ litres a day and her energy continued to decrease. Each time I questioned the doctor I was reminded that water was healthy and just restrict how much she drank if I was that concerned. I restricted her water to 2 litres a day, which resulted in her spending her entire bath time gulping down as much water as she could and drinking from any cup or glass left unattended, including the dog’s water bowl. Searching for answers I found a natural therapist who used muscle testing to balance her little body and told me that my beautiful girl needed to be gluten, dairy and salicylate free.
Three days after our dramatic dietary change, our daughter found her sparkle. She demanded to go on a bike ride, without training wheels, on a bike that she had never ridden before due to lack of energy. She rode 1.5km that day and returned home with tears rolling down her face. “I can do it” she yelled, she then ran through our yard to our back fence still crying, “I can run”, and then continued to wiggle and shake her hands about yelling “And I can dance”. She has never looked back since. This is why I love Kinesiology. I won’t say it was all easy, and I understand first hand sometimes changes can be hard, but every day she smiles, makes it all worth it.
Everybody deserves to sparkle!
I’d love to help you re-ignite your sparkle.
